Booking your event
The typical process of booking a charter goes like this:
• by talking over the options, we get clear what you are thinking of doing
• we draw up a priced proposal for you to approve
• once that’s agreed, we produce an agreement for signature
• on signature you pay a 25% deposit
• one month ahead of the event (two months ahead of regatta events) you pay the balance, plus a damage deposit
• within two weeks of the event we repay the damage deposit.
The major ‘extra’ we need to sort out at an early stage is catering. Most of our clients opt to have food prepared on-board, even if they plan to go ashore in Cowes or Yarmouth for a drink or two while the final preparations are made. We can provide catering at various levels, from easily handled finger food for a team-building day to an extravagant gourmet spread.
You can give your day on the water extra impact in various ways. For example:
RIB rides We can provide a fast, safe Rigid Inflatable Boat for the day, so that some of your guests can zoom around on that, perhaps taking pictures of the others sailing.
Photographer If you like the idea of a photographic record of the day, we can put a photographer in the RIB for at least part of the day.
Crew clothing We can produce embroidered clothing of various sorts, from caps to windcheater jackets, for your guests to wear on the day and take away as a memento.
